• Many cities and counties have enforced new codes which may change Maximum number of layers allowed and require shingles that withstand higher wind speeds.
• If you are changing from an existing composition or wood shake roof to a tile roof, you will also need to have a structural engineer evaluate your current support system to see if adequate to handle the weight of the tile plus three feet of snow.
